How to open a Savings Account Pluss

When should you choose Savings Account Pluss?

When you have a large amount of money in your account and want a secure way to save, with a higher interest rate than a standard savings account. At the same time, you have the money available for a limited number of annual withdrawals, then Savings Account Pluss can be worthwhile for you.

You can open a Savings Account Pluss even if you do not have a high savings amount, but it is only when you save NOK 100,000 or more that you receive one of the best interest rates.

The account is also an alternative for you if you have a short time horizon for your savings. You avoid the risk of fluctuations that you would have if you put the money in funds or Shares, and you can withdraw the money whenever you need it.

When should you look for other account options instead of Savings Account Pluss?

If you have less than NOK 100,000 to save, you should consider other options instead of Savings Account Pluss.

With a regular Savings account, you get optional withdrawals and full flexibility with your money. Perfect for saving towards a buffer.

If flexibility is not important, you could get an even higher interest rate with Fixed-rate deposit where you lock in your money for 3, 6, 12 and 24 months.
