Energy labelling and energy efficiency

How can you find an energy label for your home?

For a home purchase, the energy label is indicated on the prospectus/home advertisement. You can register your home at energimerking.no, and get an energy label by stating: Type of home, construction year, usage area and heating method.

Energy class A and B

  • A: The building has a heat pump or solar energy, as well as better insulation and windows. Passive homes will get an A.
  • B: The building has a heat pump or solar energy and/or better insulation and windows than the requirements in the building regulations. In addition to heating and insulation, the type of home, construction year and use area will affect the energy class.

What does home energy labelling mean?

The property is assessed in relation to how energy intensive it is to maintain a stable indoor temperature and which energy source is used.
