No, you will keep your Mastercard. We will ensure that it is linked in our systems.

The first time you use your card after it has been upgraded, the welcome points will be activated. The welcome points will be transferred to your SAS EuroBonus account at the first billing. Points are earned on all purchases where Mastercard is used in Norway, abroad and online.

Will I receive welcome points if I cancel and then rejoin Mastercard Upgrade?

If you cancel your Mastercard Upgrade membership and then rejoin, you will not be entitled to new welcome points.

The exception is if you move from one customer programme to another. For example, if you move from being a Pluss customer to a SAGA customer, you will receive new welcome points.

You can see your earned SAS EuroBonus points on your monthly Mastercard statement, and in the online bank under each individual transaction on your Mastercard.

In addition, you can see your total SAS EuroBonus points balance on the SAS EuroBonus member pages and in the SAS app.

• Cash withdrawals over the counter and at ATMs (cash machines).
• Transfers from Mastercard to account in online bank.
• Money transfers between individuals.
• Use of the card to pay bills or deferred payments through third-party payment solutions.
• Purchase of currency with associated fees or other costs related to such transactions.
• Purchase of bank drafts, cheques and traveller's cheques with associated fees or other costs related to such transactions.
• Costs and fees incurred in accordance with the terms and conditions for Mastercard such as, but not limited to, annual fees, interest rates, invoice fees, payment reminders, debt collection costs and legal costs.
• Use of Mastercard for the purchase of goods and services in business operations, with the exception of payments in connection with business travel, entertainment and minor employee events.
• Use of Mastercard that is not related to the purchase of goods and services for the account holder's personal use, or otherwise appears to be misuse.

EuroBonus points you earn with Mastercard are transferred to your SAS EuroBonus account once a month, upon invoicing.

For the points to be included on the next invoice, the purchase must be eligible for points and posted before invoicing.

Yes, you do. Points earned on any supplementary cards will be credited to the primary cardholder's Mastercard account.

If you receive a new Mastercard as a result of card renewal, your points will be transferred to your new card.

If you receive a new Mastercard as a result of changing programme, Mastercard Upgrade will be transferred. The monthly fee and points earning will be adjusted to the terms for the new Mastercard.

Lounge access through Upgrade applies to SAGA Mastercard

If you have upgraded your Mastercard, you automatically gain access to over 1,000 airport lounges worldwide with LoungeKey.

You can download the LoungeKey app Mastercard Airport Experiences inApp Store or Google Play for an easy overview of lounges available at the airport, how to get there and services offered.

In the lounges you can eat, drink and relax when you are travelling. We cover the first four visits each year, and you choose whether to use them yourself or also for guests. Prices for additional visits and guests are listed in the price list.

LoungeKey must not be confused with SAS lounges.

With the upgrade, you also receive Mastercard Airport Experiences provided by LoungeKey, which means you gain access to exclusive offers at more than 400 airports worldwide.

If you have Æ, Ø or Å in your name, you must replace these letters with AE, OE or AA.

It may take up to two working days before your card number is registered with LoungeKey, and you can create an account.

If you receive an error message when you need to create an account or update your card in Mastercard Airport Experiences, you can still gain access to LoungeKey. Inform the lounge that you are a LoungeKey customer, and swipe your SAGA Gold Mastercard. This works as long as you have ordered Mastercard Upgrade, and two working days have passed since the agreement became active.

Tier points apply to you with SAGA or Private Banking Mastercard and have three levels:

1. If you use your Mastercard for more than NOK 100 000 in a calendar year, you will receive 10 000 tier points transferred to your EuroBonus account.

2. If you use your Mastercard for more than NOK 200 000 in a year, you will receive an additional 10 000 tier points.

3. If you use your Mastercard for more than NOK 500 000 in a calendar year, you will receive an extra 10 000 tier points.

You can therefore earn up to 30 000 EuroBonus tier points in a calendar year.

EuroBonus tier points provide the opportunity to upgrade your SAS EuroBonus membership level, but cannot be used for travel, goods or services within the EuroBonus programme.

The tier points will be transferred to your SAS EuroBonus account at the first billing after the spending target is reached. Remember that purchases must be point-eligible and posted before billing.

Tier points count in a calendar year and must be posted by the end of the year.

The insurance covers the excess cost in the event of an insurance claim on a rental car and applies regardless of where in the world you are, as long as you as a private individual have rented the car from a professional car rental company.

Ensure that you as the cardholder are listed as the hirer of the car so that the insurance is valid. The insurance does not apply if you are younger than 21 years and rent the car.

With Mastercard Upgrade it is extra safe to shop on the internet. Have you paid for an item but not received it within 90 days? Then we will in principle cover the amount. See the terms and conditions for cover.

Be aware that this insurance does not cover loss or insurance claims whilst the item is being sent by regular post or courier service.
