Sustainable transition
DNB finances the climate transition and is a driving force for sustainable value creation.
DNB must be a driving force for sustainable transition.
One of DNB's core strategic ambitions is to deliver sustainable value creation by generating profitable growth and making choices that will stand the test of time. To fulfil this ambition, we will support our customers through the climate transition, reduce ESG risk in our portfolios and proactively engage with external stakeholders. DNB's three sustainability ambitions, launched in 2021, set out in detail how we must achieve this.
Our transition plan is a continuation of the sustainability ambitions launched in 2021.The plan was launched in 2023, updated in 2025, and is an important strategic tool that helps us understand the business implications of our net-zero ambition., and to navigate the challenges and opportunities that climate change and the transition to a low-carbon economy present. The plan describes how we at DNB must drive the transition, and the tools we have at hand to engage with and guide our customers and the companies we invest in to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.

Responsible and sustainable investments:
DNB manages significant assets on behalf of its customers through DNB Livsforsikring, through the management of mutual funds and active portfolios in our asset management company DNB Asset Management (DAM), and through the Group's equity investments.
We work continuously to ensure that our investments are responsible and sustainable, which involves taking ESG factors (environment and climate, social conditions and corporate governance) into account in the management of investments, as well as contributing to sustainable development.
Other priority sustainability themes
DNB must also contribute positively to other sustainability challenges through advisory services, innovation, expectations and requirements. Among the themes high on our agenda are the circular economy, nature and biodiversity, start-ups and growth companies, and innovation.
